Conclusions Metastases of malignant peritoneal mesotheliomas are unusual, and a predominantly gastrointestinal localization is rare. Pathologists should be aware of this possibility to avoid misdiagnosis, particularly in small biopsy specimens. (Source: International Journal of Surgical Pathology)
